PeaceConsciousness.org is an online e-zine. This publication provides both a forum for exchanging ideas related to peace, and for suggesting means, at all levels, to use in resolving differences between individuals, groups, nations, or even species. We will learn not only where we have common ground, but also learn to celebrate our differences, because those differences provide richness, diversity, and a continual flow of new ideas for us to consider.
It has been said that terrorism is the last desperate act of those who are denied any other voice. Everyone should have a place to voice their desire for Peace and seek solutions in a civil manner. In this way we can do much toward encouraging solutions to our problems.
PeaceConsciousness takes the view that a Pro-Peace initiative rather than an anti-war effort is the effective path to Peace. The Law of Attraction implies that the cosmic manifests for us whatever we envision and focus on. War is half of Anti-War, and thus, may be self-defeating. Mother Teresa once refused to march in an Anti-War rally. People were shocked that she refused to participate in such a worthy cause, and she simply replied that when they held a march for Peace, she would be there. This is just one of the basic principles we wish to convey with this new e-zine.
As for readers’ perception of the articles, it is desirable to avoid having any preconceptions get in the way, so we are proposing that articles be printed under a pseudonym, such as PeaceConsciousness or another non-identifying pseudonym, like Peace Consciousness and an ancient name or motto, (e.g. Peace Consciousness Aristotle or Peace Consciousness Harmony). This will allow readers to keep track of individual opinions in the articles and the subsequent on-line discussions.
The writer is able to speak more freely without being attacked personally for expressing “outside-the-box” concepts, and the reader is not prejudiced by knowing that the author is someone he or she thought they did not like. We are considering the possibility of publishing a list of contributors (at least those who wish to be identified) once or twice a year, without connecting them to the particular article. By not directly identifying the author, the ideas and concepts presented rise to the surface rather than the personalities of the writer or reader.
With this foundation, we invite you to consider contributing an article, poem, or artwork for consideration for publication in PeaceConsciousness.
